Negocierile cu finlandezii de la Nokia au durat mai mult de un an, iar majoritatea discutiilor s-au purtat in afara tarii. Echipa de negocieri l-a avut ca si coordonator pe Marius Nicoara, Presedintele Consiliului Judetean Cluj.
Investitia totala din Jucu se ridica la 60 de milioane de euro, iar din fabrica Nokia vor iesi circa 5 telefoane pe secunda.
Marius Nicoara a precizat ca terenul pe care s-a construit fabrica din Jucu nu apartinea Consiliului Judetean si ca a trebuit sa convinga Senatul USAMV si Guvernul Tariceanu sa cedeze terenul pentru a construi Nokia Village.
,,Nu vreau sa par ipocrit, se stie ca am participat la fiecare discutie cu reprezentantii Nokia, dar nici nu pot sa spun ca rolul meu a fost esential sau ca a fost doar acela de reprezentant al actionarului majoritar al TETAROM. Partenerii nostri de discutie au cerut sa vada terenul de la Jucu, locul unde peste doua saptamani se va deschide o fabrica de telefoane. Va las sa apreciati singuri care a fost rolul lui Marius Nicoara, presedintele Consiliului Judetean, in aceste negocieri. Va voi mai spune doar ca, timp de un an si zeci de runde de negocieri, nu am cheltuit niciun leu din bugetul Consiliului pentru deplasarile la Viena, Bucuresti sau in alte locatii unde erau stabilite intalnirile cu reprezentantii firmei si ca, probabil, experienta de a negocia in domniul afacerilor, dobandita anterior alegerii mele ca presedinte al Consiliului Judetean Cluj, a folosit echipei", ne-a declarat Marius Nicoara.

La doar doua zile dupa ce Nokia si-a anuntat planurile de a inchide fabrica de la Bochum din germania, principalel sindicate ale muncitorilor se pregatesc de proteste, informeaza ziarul german ,,Bild". Muncitorii au intrat deocamdata in greva, insa sindicatul IG Metall pregateste un pichet in aceasta seara (joi), in fata portii fabricii.
"Mai intai, Nokia a incasat la Bochum milioane de euro de la stat, acum producatorul de telefoane mobile ii arata Germaniei spatele. Specialistii cer acum o reducere radicală a subventiilor", scrie "Spiegel".
